How to Use Telegram on iOS and Android Easily
- With the announcement of Facebook's purchase of WhatsApp, all eyes are on other messaging apps. Telegram is attracting a lot of attention thanks to its simple user interface and wide range of functionality.

Telegram, unlike other chat applications, is cloud-based, which means that owing to independent developers, you can smoothly migrate your discussions across your smartphone, tablet, and even your PC.

Telegram is more than just a messaging app; it also allows users to enter private discussions that are encrypted from beginning to end for added security.

Telegram allows you to communicate more than just photos and videos; with a single click, you can send documents or your current position to a friend. The best part is that there are no advertisements and it is absolutely free.

How to Use Telegram on iOS and Android Easily

Here's how to get everything set up on Telegram so you can start messaging your pals.

1. Download and install the Telegram app. Search for Telegram in either the App Store or Google Play. Install the app that has the paper airplane emblem on it.

2. Type in your telephone number. You'll be asked to input your phone number after you've flipped through the welcome screen. Telegram will give you a text message with a four-digit code to confirm that your phone number is correct. To proceed, enter the code into the app.

3. Include your name and a photograph. Telegram allows users to build their own profiles, which include a name and a photo. To continue, enter this information.

4. Use Telegram to make a friend. If you give Telegram permission to access your address book, it will automatically scan your contacts for Telegram users. Telegram will display a list of your friends who use Telegram, followed by contacts who have not yet signed up for the app, when you tap the Contacts tab in the bottom left corner of the screen. By pressing on a friend's name who isn't using Telegram, you can ask them to join a chat.

5. Begin a regular conversation session. To create a new chat, choose a friend who has a Telegram account. A text field at the bottom of the screen, similar to WhatsApp and other classic texting apps, is used to type messages.

6. Include a photograph, a Web image, a video, a document, a contact, or your current location in your message. Telegram, unlike most messaging programs, allows you to communicate a wide range of data to your friends. Select the type of information you wish to communicate by tapping the paperclip symbol next to the chat text area. You have the option of taking a photo or video right away or selecting one from your library. There's also the option to search the Internet for an image, which brings up a search box with only image results.

Select the Location option and provide that app access to your current location if you wish to transmit your current location to a buddy. Your friend will then receive an interactive map featuring you as a pin, which will help them find you when they're out and about. When you need to exchange a file or pass along someone's information, you can also share documents and contacts.

7. Start a private conversation. Select the option that reads New Secret Chat from the Contacts page, and then type in the name of a buddy. Any messages exchanged in this window are encrypted, so no one else, including Telegram, will be able to read them. Just like in a typical conversation, you can communicate texts, media, and documents.

You can even have private chat messages self-destruct, which means they'll be securely wiped after a certain amount of time has passed. Hit on your friend's name at the top of the screen > tap the Info button > and go to the Self-Destruct Timer settings in a secret chat. One second, two seconds, five seconds, one minute, one hour, one day, or one week are all options.

8. Change the background of your chat. You may choose a picture for your chat backgrounds in the Settings tab at the bottom right of the app. Telegram has a wide image library from which to choose, allowing you to personalize the look and feel of your chats. For a more personalized touch, you may choose an image from your photo gallery to use as a background.
